Trainings must be completed in order (A, B, C, I, II, SFA, III)
Trainees returning from last year should:
- Email the training director to determine which courses need to be repeated.
- Resubmit both the ESAR and King County application forms
Course A - Orientation ( 7:00-9:00 PM unless otherwise noted )
Required: Bring current photo ID (Drivers License, Passport, or student ID)
Required: Bring proof of current auto insurance if you drive. If minor, bring parents auto insurance.
Course B - Map and Compass ( 8:00am - 5:00pm )

Course C - Search Theory and Field Practice ( Sat 6:30 AM to Sun 3:00-4:00 PM )
Trainees are responsible for obtaining their own basic First Aid/CPR certification and must submit a scan of a current FA/CPR card before they are allowed to register for the first overnight weekend (Course C). Please see the Course A packet for a list of approved FA/CPR providers and registration information. We may offer First Aid/CPR classes at a discounted fee; these dates will be announced at a later time
Course I - Navigation Practice ( Sat 6:20 AM to Sun 1:00-3:00 PM )
Course II - Navigation Evaluation ( Sat 7:00 AM to Sun 1:00-3:00 PM )
Searcher First Aid, Legal Issues, Helicopter Safety, and Crime Scene Awareness ( 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM )
Course III - Mock Search ( Sat 7:00 AM to Sun 1:00-3:00 PM )

SAR Academy (Course IV) - Crime Scene, Helicopter, Orientation ( 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sat, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM Sun )
GRADUATION - SUNDAY, APRIL 9 AT 2:00 PM (Doors open at 1pm)
